Govt: Poly Technic College Meenangadi
Government Polytechnic College Meenangadi was established by the Government of Kerala in the year 1983 in Wayanad district. It was inaugurated by the then chief minister of Kerala , Mr. A K Anthony. During that period, Wayanad district was educationally backward, and the college offers education in the field of Engineering and Technology. The campus provides a good opportunity in becoming a nodal centre to lead the academic and technical programs of the district and also fosters academic, industrial and social communities.
The college being in the central part of Wayanad district, serves as the nodal polytechnic in the area. With 20 acres of land spread over the lush green picturesque environment, provides ample facilities for the staff and students. The college is under the State Board of Technical Education, Kerala and is approved by the AICTE.

Significant Achievements
- The college obtained Kerala State Government citation award for promoting non conventional energy (solar ) sources by Energy Management Centre Kerala , 2017.
- Being one of the best IEDC chapter in the state under the Kerala Start Up mission, our Nodal Officer was awarded by the chief minister of Kerala with a cash prize of one lakh rupees, for the year 2016-17.
- In addition to the brilliant curricular activities the college gives importance to co curricular activities as well.
- The college NSS unit one of the best in state.
- Our students tops in inter-polytechnic arts and sports competitions.
- The Community Development through Polytechnic functions with a vision of taking technology to the doorstep of the layman and has over 10 centers across the district.
- Unemployed youth are trained in various skill areas. The Continuing Education Cell functioning in our college is dedicated for the drop outs and the marginalized. Many are employed in India and Abroad in skilled areas.
